Improve Your Karma, Donate Some Banii

This is a note that I cross posted on Facebook about a project I’m working on. Please enjoy the note and if the spirit moves you, donate some money to a fantastic project!

Howdy Y’all,

As hope most of you know by now, I’ve been living and working in Romania for the last two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer for a fantastic 4-H club as well as teaching English and doing whatever else I’m asked to do. For the last 7 years our 4-H club has provided a free summer day camp for our kids. I’ve been involved in the last two camps and I can personally say that they are an awesome learning experience for our kids. This year I’ve written a Peace Corps Partenership Grant to help pay for some new materials for our day camp program and to extend our program to be able to provide a special overnight camp for our older students.

I know that times are tough, but if you have a few extra bucks lying around I hope you will consider donating to this amazing project. Not only will your money go to help provide summer educational activities for our 4-H kids but the supplies purchased will help sustain 4-H projects after my departure in September.

These last two years living in Romania and working with 4-H have been the most enlightening of my life. This camp program will be my last “hurrah” with Peace Corps Romania. I actually extended my service so I could complete this camp project. Help us make this the best summer ever for the 4-H kids of Horezu! We’re counting on you!

All donations are tax deductable and can be made from the comfort of your own home via Peace Corps’ website.

Thank you all in advance!

Peace,

Chelsea, Vale, and the 4-H Club of Horezu
