Tomorrow, in Romania, it is Women’s Day. A day celebrated with much fanfare and flowers. I wanted to take a brief moment to thank all the amazing women in my life who have made me who I am today. From my amazing mother to my Nee-Nee, from my grandmas to my aunts, from my future mother-in-law to my pen-pal Laura, from my best friends Kitty and MK to the fabulous roller derby girls of Tampa Bay, from my outstanding counterpart Vale and the ever supportive Gilda to my wonderfully kind gazda mothers, to my Peace Corps friends, my students, and everyone I have met along my travels, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

I wish you all the happiest Women’s Day ever. Thank you for being such a positive influence in my life, for being guiding lights, for being my friends, for showing me the way, for sharing joy with me, and most of all for just being the amazing women that you are.
