The last two weeks have been a whirlwind of chaos and excitement. Kyle came to Romania for two weeks to spend his hard-earned vacation with me and experience a small snippet of the simple, beautiful life. While the awesome adventures abounded, the most exciting news to come out of our two weeks together was…

WE ARE ENGAGED!

Yep, ladies and gentlemen, Kyle and I are engaged. He proposed to me on the rolling hills of the summer highland sheep pastures at Valanu during a Lacrima Muntilor camping trip. We couldn’t be happier!

While Kyle’s time here was limited and I was very sad to see him leave Romania, I couldn’t wish for a better start of our life together. The proposal was heartfelt and simple, performed in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, in the county and region of Romania that I hold near and dear to my heart.

I will post more details of our engagement, our epic hike to Valanu, The Cocosul de Hurez, and our travels around Romania shortly with pictures. Stay tuned!
